GITES DU CABARDES

HOUSE RULES AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS  2023/2024

OVERVIEW: Look, we hate having to lay out rules as much as you hate having to follow them. We’ve identified the things that are REALLY important to us, this will all help towards us being great hosts for you.

Don’t worry, it’s just basically good sense – please read right up until the end, it will take you 2 minutes!!!!!!

NO UNREGISTERED GUESTS without prior approval (and max 14 persons per booking whatever… that includes adults, children and babies) and no under 18’s without their parents (sorry its the law)

SMOKERS; please smoke outside and please be courteous and clean up your butts/ash.

QUIET HOURS: We prefer to keep it to a dull roar after 10 pm, after all you gotta sleep some time. It’s a really quiet neighbourhood which is appreciated by most of our guests. No loud voices, music, kids or parents shrieking – keeping the neighbours up is not cool and you wouldn’t do it in your own home.

DOGS: Please do not instant book if you plan on bringing your dog. We may not accept your pet if other guests have specifically asked for a pet free rental. Also no dogs to be left on their own under any circumstances in the accommodation.

PLUMBING : toilet paper costs around 50 centimes/roll… a plumber will cost you 200 euros… just warning you.

BREAKAGE : If you break a plate or a glass, just let us know…. Please don’t replace any crockery, otherwise nothing matches and it looks like everything has come from the local charity shop. Crockery is Guy Degrenne Modulo (look up prices should you break, crack or chip a plate).

If an appliance stops working (and they do just stop on their own) let us know straight away so we can replace on the spot.

LINEN; please do not wash any of our linen, we have special stain removers in case of spills.

WINTER LETS: unfortunately we have had guests who don’t mind heating empty accommodation when someone else pays. So because of those few, we prefer to keep rent down and charge extra for electricity (from October to May). Meter read on arrival and departure (costs no more than if you were at home).

GARDEN AND POOL : the pool is open from 9 am to 9 pm in high summer and until 7.30 pm at other times. By agreeing to the present home rules, you are agreeing to read and respect the pool rules (found in the hall on your arrival). No reimbursement will be given should we have to close the pool  during the duration of your stay. Also if you use the barbeques, please clean them after use.

DEPARTURE AND CLEANING: here’s the tricky one…basically if you leave the place as you found it, that’s fine with us… it will probably take you around 2 hours!!

We are not a hotel so not hotel prices, plus we do not stick a cleaning fee on top of what you’ve paid (unlike a lot of places), so please, please please do the following at least!!

Strip the beds, put sheets and towels in two different piles.

Empty the bins (recycling and rubbish on the on the road by the fig tree and glass by the tennis courts)

If you’ve used the oven, make sure it’s clean, empty the dishwasher, empty the fridge (only leave food which is unopened, otherwise chuck it out).

Sponge over kitchen area and bathroom.

Vaccuum over the floor if its very dirty.

Detergents under the sink and vacuum in the garage

If you don’t want to do the minimum… which I can understand…. you can pay us for a full clean (50€) otherwise if the place is left dirty, the appropriate amount will be taken off your deposit (we’ll ask a professional cleaner for a quote).

ASK IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION OR ISSUES: The key is, we’re almost always here, just ask if you need something or want to know something. We appreciate the opportunity to make things more comfortable for you. If we aren’t here, just text. We’ll point you in the right direction.

**Whew! Let’s do something more fun now. 🙂
